What do whiskey and masks have in common?

runswithscissors15

Normally, not much. Unless you buy the special whiskey that comes in a pretty purple bag. Of course, I'm talking about Crown Royal.

Quilters have been saving these little bags, and sewing them into quilts for as long as they've been on the market. But lately, with so many mask mandates across the U.S., they've also become a popular material to make masks from. Why not? A little personality in your mask is always a good thing.

I don't drink a lot of whiskey (hardly any, in fact). But I was scrolling through Facebook Marketplace last week, and found a bunch for a pittance, that were fairly close to me. So I snatched them up!

I spent today cutting them apart and pressing them flat. This week, I'll sew them into masks. Tune back in a few days to see the finished product.
